COURSE OUTLINE

The CSP Roasting Intermediate course builds on foundational skills with a deeper focus on roast theory, profile development, and consistency. Participants learn to analyze heat transfer, control Rate of Rise (RoR), and adjust roast profiles for desired flavor outcomes. The course covers sensory evaluation, roast defect identification, and the impact of green coffee variables like density and moisture. Students also gain hands-on experience with advanced roasting equipment, maintenance routines, and production planning for efficient, consistent output.
